Scientifically proven:

  1. MSM and glucosamine – significantly reduce joint pain and swelling in osteoarthritis. A total of 118 patients( 40-70 years) with mild to moderate osteoarthritis were included in the study. Combination treatment resulted in a more significant decrease in the mean pain index (1.7 ± 0.47 to 0.36 ± 0.33) 12 weeks after administration.  The mean swelling index significantly decreased with combination therapy (1.43 ± 0.63 to 0.14 ± 0.35) after 12 weeks.1
  2. Green-lipped mussel – regulation of anti-inflammatory cytokines and provision of nutritional factors for connective tissue regeneration (chondroitin sulfate, collagen, glycogen).2
  3. Condoritin – sulfate – therapeutic effect on osteoarthritis through 3 mechanisms: 1) anti-inflammatory action without the side effects that occur in other NSAIDs, 2) metabolic effect on the synthesis of hyaluronate and cartilage proteoglycans, 3) inhibition of proteolytic activities (collagenase, elastase, proteoglycans).3
  4. Hyaluronic acid – helps with knee pain, relieves symptoms of osteoarthritis, reduces stiffness and improves physical function of the joints. After 8 weeks (47 patients) the pain index decreased (1.6 ± 1.61 vs 3.3 ± 2.16, P = .01) and physical function improved (4.5 ± 4.25 vs 7.9 ± 6.30, P = .03).4
  5. Calcium fructoburate – has an anti-inflammatory effect and inhibits superoxide within the cell, the production of IL-1β, IL-6 and nitric oxide. It also increases the production of TNF-α. A dose of 1-7 mg of calcium fructoborate (0.025–0.175 mg of boron)/kg per day has been shown to show good anti-inflammatory effects and have minor side effects.5
  6. Vitamin D3 – has an anti-inflammatory effect and affects bone formation and resorption. The active form of vitamin D, 1.25 (OH) 2D3, has regulatory autocrine and paracrine properties at the site of inflammation and is recognized as an immunosuppressant that enhances the pathogenesis of autoimmune diseases regulated by Th1 lymphocytes.6
  7. Manganese- when taken in combination with other nutrients, manganese supports bone mineral density, and studies confirm that manganese in combination with glucosamine and chondroitin reduces the pain caused by osteoarthritis. Glycosyltranferases and xylosyltransferases are important for proteoglycan synthesis and thus bone formation and are sensitive to manganese intake.7

Ingredients

Glucosamine sulfate, methylsulfonylmethane (MSM), Perna extract (green-lipped mussel extract), chondroitin sulfate,
calcium fructoborate, hyaluronic acid, manganese glycinate, vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol)

Suggested use

As a dietary supplement for adults, take one (1) tablet 2 times a day, preferably with a meal. For optimal results in joint pain, we recommend a combination of oral use of PernaVita flex tablets and massage of the sore spot with PernaVita gel.

Do you know?

Joints that move are called Synovial Joints. These make up most of the joints in your body; other joints, like those located in the skull, do not move at all.
